Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer with 1-3 years of experience, preferably in the MEP construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimations, and supporting commercial and contractual activities for ongoing construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study contract documents, project specifications, and drawings to prepare the

    Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Compare tender drawings with updated/as-built drawings using tools like PlanSwift or Bluebeam Revu to generate mark-ups and highlight discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost particulars for variations, additional works, or

    changes in scope.
  • Collaborate with site teams and conduct site visits to verify progress and prepare updated payment schedules.
  • Evaluate subcontractors work progress and issue payment certificates based on on-site verification and documentation.
  • Maintain a project-wise log to track variations, correspondence, drawings, and any contractual matters.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reports to the line manager and support in day-to-day QS tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably in Quantity Surveying, Electrical,

    or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the MEP or construction sector.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity take-off software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu).
  • Good understanding of contract terms, project drawings, and construction methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.

  • Able to coordinate across departments and communicate effectively with internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Willingness to visit project sites and work collaboratively with the construction team.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: AED 4,000 - 5,000 (All Inclusive, based on experience and qualifications)
