Procurement specialist

For one of its clients, ExpHire is seeking an ambitious Procurement Specialist currently living in the Milan area and with 2-3 years of relevant work experience (procurement in an industrial/mechanical industry).

Responsibilities

The Procurement specialist reports directly to the COO and is expected to perform the following activities:

• -Setup and manage the ERP system for procurement.

• Identify, research, and evaluate potential suppliers.

• Purchase components and manage order deliveries.

• Oversee project timelines related to procurement, deliveries, and replacements.

• Manage warehouse/stock and handle re-orders.

• Generate automated reports in the ERP system.

• Collaborate with the accountant for financial reporting.

• Attend industry events, trade shows, and visit suppliers.

• Oversee receipt of goods and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has the following experience and characteristics:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not essential.

• 2+ years of experience in procurement (preferably in the mechanical sector).

• Good knowledge of ERP tools (at least 1).

• Proven ability to manage suppliers and negotiate better deals.

• Experience in product quality evaluation and delivery reliability.

• Fluent in Italian and English (minimum B2 level).

• Excellent communication skills with a transparent and effective approach.

• Integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously.
