About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join our Legal team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop expertise in a dynamic and highly regulated industry while working closely with senior legal and business stakeholders.


Reporting Line: Chief Legal Officer

Worksite: Hybrid


Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on regulatory and compliance matters affecting the financial services sector in the EU.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and corporate governance documents.
  • Monitor changes in EU legislation and regulations relevant to the business.
  • Support the implementation of corporate governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Collaborate with compliance and business teams to ensure legal alignment with company strategy.


Qualifications

  • Law degree
  • Approximately 5 years of post-qualification experience (more or less senior candidates will also be considered).
  • Prior exposure to the financial services sector within the EU.
  • Solid understanding of EU regulations and corporate governance frameworks.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, international environment.
  • Law firm experience is desirable but not required.
  • Admission in a EU jurisdiction or in England would be a big plus.
