Position Overview

As a Licensed Optician, you'll be a valued member of our friendly, customer-focused team, guiding clients to the perfect eyewear solutions with expertise and care. This is a part-time, in-person role based in the Greater Ocala Area, with shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 2–3 times per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with eyewear selection, fittings, and adjustments.
• Customize prescription lenses and ensure proper measurements.
• Educate customers on frame selections, lens options, and eye health.
• Collaborate with optometrists and team members to provide comprehensive vision care.
• Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Compensation and Schedule

• Part-time position: 2–3 days per week
• Working hours: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Hourly rate: $35/hr plus 2–5% commission
• In-person, on-site role

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Optician in accordance with state regulations
• Expertise in optics, optical instruments, lens measurements, and adjustments
• Experience in optometry and familiarity with practices supporting eye health
• Proven proficiency in delivering exceptional customer service
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building customer relationships
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in prescription and frame handling
• Bilingual abilities and experience in retail optical settings are a plus.
