Position Overview:

Faith Walks LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities in the Cincinnati area. As a DSP, you will help enhance the lives of those we serve by promoting independence, dignity, and self-worth. You will work closely with individuals to assist with daily activities and provide personal care in a respectful, professional, and empathetic manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including but not limited to personal hygiene, meal preparation, transportation, and household chores.
• Encourage and support individuals in achieving personal goals and maximizing independence.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals.
• Monitor and document daily activities, progress, and any changes in health or behavior.
• Administer medication as prescribed and in compliance with safety protocols.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals in your care at all times.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment that respects the dignity and preferences of individuals.
• Participate in training programs and staff meetings as required.
• Communicate effectively with families, staff, and supervisors regarding any concerns or updates.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two forms of identification for employment verification.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Completion of an 8-hour training program provided by Faith Walks LLC.
• BCI required and FBI background check required if you have lived outside of Ohio for more than 5 years.
• Must possess a caring and patient attitude and demonstrate a commitment to working with individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lift, move, and assist individuals as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a similar role or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Familiarity with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) guidelines and regulations is a plus.
