Role Overview
The Social Services Officer ensures child protection and well-being across Family Legacy programs while leading Water, Sanitation, Hygiene, and Menstrual Health (WASHM) initiatives. The role focuses on safeguarding compliance, frontline case management, and awareness-building in schools and communities.
Key Responsibilities

Implement child safeguarding protocols and respond to protection concerns.

Support children and families through case management and referrals.

Lead hygiene and menstrual health education campaigns in schools and communities.

Build awareness and train staff, caregivers, and students on child rights and safeguarding practices.

Strengthen community engagement and partnerships around child protection and WASHM.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Child Protection, Law, Public Policy, or related field.

3-5 years experience in child safeguarding, protection, or WASH programs (NGO experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of child rights and safeguarding legislation.

Excellent communication, reporting, and relationship-building skills.

Committed Christian with a passion for serving vulnerable children.
Level of Contact with Children
High Level: Regular and direct interaction with children and youth.
