Facilities Engineer
Job Description:
The Facilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing all facility maintenance operations and ensuring high-quality service delivery. This role manages day-to-day maintenance activities, leads the technical team, and ensures all planned and reactive tasks are completed to required standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise daily activities of technical staff, ensuring optimal use of manpower and resources.

Plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance works, including parts, labour, and specialist contractors.

Conduct audits of completed tasks to ensure workmanship meets required standards.

Develop and review maintenance procedures, method statements, permits to work, and risk assessments.

Act as the Approved/Authorised Person for risk assessments, method statements, and permits to work when required.

Provide hands-on technical support for planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Prepare reports, estimates, and quotations for small works; support competency assessments.

Provide technical guidance on MEP systems, chiller/district cooling, and Building Management Systems.

Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, emergency procedures, and authority requirements.

Coordinate with internal teams, external parties, consultants, and contractors.

Manage 3rd-party inspections (elevators, fire certificates, gas safety, electrical testing, water quality tests, etc.).

Oversee Annual Maintenance Contracts, project management activities, and start-up documentation.

Monitor energy usage, utilities, and implement energy management initiatives.

Ensure timely delivery of event requirements and inventory stock availability.

Support transition and DLP (Defect Liability Period) management.

Perform quality management checks and ensure timely closure of observations.

Respond to all reactive maintenance requests within agreed service levels.
Education/Qualification
Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 5 years of experience with facilities management or similar environment
