Interior Designer/Architectural Engineer

 Job Description:

Job Purpose

The Architectural Engineer is responsible for managing the design and delivery of corporate and retail projects from initiation to handover. This role ensures design excellence, compliance with standards, and alignment with business requirements while adding value through innovative architectural and engineering solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design and manage projects to ensure delivery within cost, timeline, and quality standards.

  • Develop design concepts, layouts, and visual schemes using AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, 3D software, and other design tools.

  • Ensure compliance with local authorities' regulations, internal policies, and HSSE standards.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, MEP, FM, Operations, IT, branding teams, design consultants, contractors, vendors, and authorities.

  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive tender documents, including architectural drawings and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

  • Conduct site visits, technical evaluations, and work inspections for proposed projects.

  • Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize materials, quality, and budget.

  • Maintain a project database, standard construction details, and documentation for future reference.

  • Review shop drawings, specifications, and submitted construction materials for compliance with contracts.

  • Manage projects from initiation to closeout, including site supervision and stakeholder reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.

  • Master's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering Management is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in interior design for retail shops and corporate offices.

  • Experience in digital or telecom companies is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of architecture, interior design principles, and building materials.

  • Proficiency in CAD, Revit/BIM, 3D modeling, and design software (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign).

  • Drafting 2D/3D architectural drawings.

  • Basic understanding of local authorities' requirements and building engineering principles.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
