AFL Tradesman

 Job Description:

Job Purpose:

To carry out routine and preventive maintenance, repair, and installation tasks related to the AFL (Asset & Facilities Lifecycle) systems, ensuring all works meet safety, quality, and operational standards. The AFL Tradesman supports smooth day-to-day operations of building assets and infrastructure through skilled technical service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AFL-related systems and equipment.

  • Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective components efficiently.

  • Carry out mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) tasks as required.

  • Ensure all work is executed in compliance with safety standards, company policies, and client requirements.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, job cards, and service reports.

  • Support the AFL Supervisor in implementing asset lifecycle programs.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.

  • Assist in commissioning, testing, and inspection of systems.

  • Monitor inventory levels of tools, materials, and spare parts.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a skilled tradesman or technician in facilities maintenance, construction, or AFL systems.

  • Knowledge:

    • Understanding of building services and asset maintenance.

    • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

    • Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures.

  • Skills:

    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
