Job Summary

The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings for airport infrastructure projects. The role requires close coordination with engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure drawings comply with project specifications, authority standards, and aviation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings for airport projects.

  • Develop drawings for civil, architectural, MEP, and infrastructure works as required.

  • Modify and revise drawings based on engineer, consultant, and authority comments.

  • Ensure drawings comply with ICAO, GCAA, IATA, and local authority standards.

  • Coordinate with site engineers to reflect actual site conditions in drawings.

  • Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, and document control.

  • Assist engineers during design development and construction stages.

  • Review tender drawings and prepare clarification drawings if required.

  • Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedule.

Software & Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)

  • Knowledge of Revit / BIM is an added advantage

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Familiarity with airport layouts, airside/landside infrastructure preferred

Qualifications

  • Diploma or ITI in Drafting / Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

  • Certification in AutoCAD or relevant drafting software preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 3–7 years of experience as a Draftsman

  • Prior experience in airport, aviation, infrastructure, or large-scale projects is highly preferred
