Store Keeper

 Job Description:

Job Purpose

The Storekeeper is responsible for organizing the stores and to ensure the correct store quantities are available within the stores to run the operations as per the contract SLAs. maintaining FIFO Principle and 5S

Accountabilities

  • Responsible to organize the stores in a proper way;
  • Responsible to receive the deliveries and check them against the LPO and report any issue;
  • Responsible to check the tools and equipment in the store and ensure proper reporting to management for issues;
  • Ensure purchase requests are raised timely to maintain the correct levels as defined in the documents and lists;
  • Ensure minimum quantity levels and reorder levels or maintained and updates are proposed to the management when required;
  • Give feedback to the management on performance of the suppliers on a monthly basis;
  • Ensure orders are followed up regarding the delivery delays;
  • Ensure all store related documents are used, filled correctly and archived or updated electronically as per the store procedures;
  • Ensure delivery notes are sent within 24h after delivery to the requestor and management;
  • Report to the management on a monthly basis on store consumption (with related work order info);
  • Responsible to keep records and logbooks for utilization of tools or materials;
  • Ensure all tools are maintained in excellent state and any damages are reported as per the site procedures immediately;
  • To keep storage areas, equipments etc in clean and tidy condition.
  • Maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene ensuring uniform and PPE are worn and maintained.  Wear neat uniforms, see that shoes are polished regularly and your total appearance and behaviour should project company standard. 
  • Comply with policies on Health & Safety, COSSH , PPE and other statutory legislation
  • Participate in mandatory training as required specific to job role.
  • Follow all Health & Safety Procedures
  • Follow the Lost & Found Procedure in your respective site
  • Attend Morning Briefings and Tool Box Talks.
  • Ensure that the standards required by Law and by Management are maintained at all times in the areas specified above.

Education/Qualification, Skills, Competencies and Experience

Identify the recruitment specifications needed to perform this job at fully-acceptable level

Education/Qualification

  • Diploma or Graduate in any discipline
  • Basic tally packages
  • Basic Knowledge English preferable

Experience (experience required for the job)

  • 1 year experience in a similar position preferred
  •  Exposure to a multicultural environment
