Procurement Executive

 Job Description:

Job Purpose

Responsible for sourcing, procuring and logistical operations for material and services

Accountabilities

  1. Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
  2. Ensure that there are no supply disruptions by developing multiple supply options and contingency plans including optimum inventory management
  3. Assess total costs of company purchases, develop strategies to reduce costs in procurement and supplier management
  4. Responsible for current state assessment, gap resolution and task deliverables for assigned area of responsibilities
  5. Support users with post implementation procedural or system issues
  6. Manage on time delivery of material and services to internal customers
  7. Remain up to date with market trends through relationships with suppliers and market
  8. Route, copy and circulate quotes, bids and proposal for evaluation
  9. Make POs for Electrical, Mechanical, IT, Admin, Safety user requirements.
  10. Vendor Relationship Management on basis of frequency of POs, rejection and payment terms.
  11. Effective selection and management of suppliers to support lean manufacturing processes
  12. Nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company
  13. Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
  14. Coordinate with finance, Store, User and vendors for payment, rejections, inventory controls
  15. Day to Day follow up with internal customers for satisfaction
  16. Review marketing material and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  17. Monitor shipments to ensure the compliance of regulations
  18. Ensure all procurement documents and other records relating to procurement procedures are collected and maintained for audit trails

  1. Zero supplier defect rate
  2. Zero lapse in delivery time for goods and services
  3. Meeting service level agreement timelines with other departments
  4. 100% PO and invoice accuracy
  5. Bottomline impact through cost effective procurement processes

Education/Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree

Experience (experience required for the job)

  • 2+ years of experience as procurement officer or in a similar position
  • Proficient in SAP / purchasing software
