Plumber

 Job Description:

The purpose of the role is to carry out preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on plumbing pipework equipment and systems, including integral and standalone pumps, either individually or as part of a technical team within a designated area of Dubai Airports. Ensure minimal disruption to the airport operations.

Adhere to all technical and safety instructions to Dubai Airports' policies and procedures.

Technically supervise and lead a team of general plumbing tradesmen and helpers to ensure tasks are completed correctly and safely within the designated area.

Qualifications:

  • High School Certificate.
  • Industrial Training Institute Diploma (3-year duration) in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Maintenance or equivalent (post-high school).
  • IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid UAE driving license

Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of experience within a Facility Management or similar environment.

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate with staff, stakeholders, and customers in oral and written English.
  • Ability to construct technical reports, spreadsheets, and presentations using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to perform safely and correctly on complex plumbing equipment and pipework systems.
  • Perform safety isolations and LOTO (Lockout-Tagout).
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PM) routines.
  • Execute corrective maintenance (CM) and breakdown maintenance (BD).
  • Potable water pipework systems and associated valves.
  • Washroom sanitary fixtures and fittings.
  • Pressure reducing valve stations (PRVs), heat exchangers, and calorifier equipment.
  • Aircraft potable water systems and associated valves.
  • Storage-type water heaters.
  • High-temperature hot water (HTHW) pipework systems and associated valves.
  • Chilled water pumps (CWP) pipework systems and associated valves.
  • Sewage pumps and associated pipework.
  • Stormwater pumps and associated pipework.

Additional Requirements:

  • Adhere to all general and technical safety requirements to ensure health, safety, and welfare of self and others.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor/duty engineer.
  • Fair knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and describe pipework schematics and system layout drawings.
  • Competence in setting up test equipment and interpreting results.
