Job Purpose

Lead the operation and maintenance of the Water SCADA system, ensuring the reliable performance of storm water network automation, monitoring, and control systems. The role is responsible for supervising maintenance activities, providing technical leadership, and ensuring maximum system availability and compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of the Water SCADA system supporting the storm water network.
• Administer and maintain Siemens WinCC SCADA applications, ensuring continuous system availability.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Siemens S7-400 Series PLCs and associated field devices.
• Supervise preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities for SCADA assets.
• Coordinate maintenance activities through Maximo CMMS, ensuring timely completion of work orders.
• Perform fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability.
• Support system upgrades, software patches, backups, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, cybersecurity standards, and operational procedures.
• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians while coordinating with operations and engineering teams.

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automation Engineering.
• SCADA/Automation Systems Certification is preferred.
• Valid UAE Driving License is desirable.

Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in SCADA and Industrial Automation systems.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Siemens WinCC SCADA for storm water network applications.
• Mandatory experience with Siemens S7-400 Series PLC programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in utilities, water treatment, pumping stations, or airport infrastructure is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Siemens WinCC SCADA administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Siemens S7-400 Series PLC programming, diagnostics, and maintenance.
• Water and storm water pumping stations, pipelines, flow meters, pressure monitoring, and utility automation.
• Industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
• SCADA HMI, historian, alarms, reporting, and system integration.
• Testing, commissioning, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Maximo CMMS for maintenance planning and asset management.
• Fault finding, root cause analysis, and system optimization.
