Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Commercial Real Estate Associate to join its Charleston office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in commercial real estate transactions and finance who is looking to grow their career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development projects.
- Counsel developers, investors, and lenders on real estate secured financings, joint ventures, and corporate governance.
- Negotiate and draft agreements for a wide range of real estate transactions.
- Advise clients on zoning appeals, property tax assessments, workforce housing agreements, and entitlement matters.
- Manage and close complex real estate transactions with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the South Carolina Bar (or eligibility for admission).
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
- Strong expertise in real estate finance, zoning, entitlement, and land use.
- Preferred experience in negotiating joint ventures and representing developers, lenders, and institutional clients.
