About the job X-Ray Technologist - Weekends
Position Overview:
Join a supportive healthcare team as an X-Ray Technologist working weekend shifts in a fast-paced clinical setting. This role involves independently performing diagnostic imaging procedures with precision, supporting both Radiology and Urgent Care areas. Flexibility, technical proficiency, and a patient-focused mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct various radiologic procedures with independent judgment and accuracy
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain CR, DR, PACS, HIS, and RIS systems
- Support urgent care operations: take vital signs, assist with point-of-care testing (e.g., EKG, rapid strep, flu), draw blood, and assist providers
- Register patients, manage supplies, and assist with clinical equipment (e.g., crutches, ace wraps)
- Maintain infection control practices and comply with OSHA and hospital safety protocols
- Handle confidential patient information appropriately
- Attend and complete all mandatory training including infection control and body substance isolation
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Massachusetts (MALIC)
- ARRT(R) certification within one year of hire
- Valid CPR certification
- Ability to work independently in a demanding environment
- Must be available to work 7:00 AM to 11:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays
