Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Structural Section Head to lead and manage the structural engineering section in our Lexington, KY office. This key leadership role requires a professional with extensive experience in structural engineering, team management, and project delivery within a collaborative consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the structural engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management
- Oversee and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and quality for structural projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices in all structural designs
- Participate in business development activities and contribute to proposal development
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the structural section
- Support career growth and professional development of team members
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong knowledge of structural design codes, standards, and software
- Proficiency in project management and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing large multidisciplinary project teams
- Familiarity with local and state regulatory environments
- Business development and client relationship experience
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with occasional site visits
- On-site presence required in Lexington, KY
