Our client, a well-established custom plastic fabrication company located in Crystal Lake, IL, is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager / Project Engineer to support both quoting and execution phases of manufacturing projects. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong technical foundation who enjoy working in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage detailed quotes, cost estimates, and customer proposals
- Oversee end-to-end execution of manufacturing projects, including engineering, procurement, quality, and installation
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Monitor project feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvement
- Communicate effectively across internal teams and with customers
- Review customer requirements prior to manufacturing to ensure alignment with proposed solutions
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing project management or engineering
- Associate degree or higher in an engineering discipline
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints (mandatory)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with a high level of energy and initiative
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or E-Drawings
- Background in plastic fabrication or similar industrial environments
