Summary:

A globally well-established beverage company is seeking General / Senior Manager.

The General / Senior Manager is responsible for serving as a central business partner across the organization, driving profitability and supporting executive decision-making.

This position works closely with the accounting department while remaining independent from day-to-day accounting operations. The role acts as a hub connecting executive management, sales, logistics, warehouse, and production teams, translating operational activities into financial insights and actionable strategies to improve company performance.

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii, USA

Reports To: Vice President

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Financial Planning

  • Lead the annual budget preparation and budget control processes in close collaboration with accounting and operational departments
  • Analyze financial and operational performance and provide clear, decision-oriented insights to executive management
  • Support management in evaluating business plans, investments, and operational initiatives

Profitability & Cost Management

  • Drive cost accounting and margin analysis in coordination with Accounting, Production, and Supply Chain
  • Lead and execute pricing and price increase initiatives, including financial modeling, impact analysis, and performance tracking
  • Design and promote cost reduction and productivity improvement programs across sales, distribution, warehouse, and manufacturing functions

Cross-Functional Business Support

  • Act as a financial and business partner to:
    • Sales
    • Distribution / Logistics
    • Warehouse
    • Production / Manufacturing
  • Translate operational challenges into financial impact and improvement opportunities
  • Support cross-departmental alignment to ensure profitability-focused decision-making

Liaison & Communication

  • Serve as a key liaison with Japan headquarters, ensuring alignment on financial performance, budget, and strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate closely with the accounting department to ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency of financial information
  • Support communication and alignment with U.S. group companies and external stakeholders as needed

Executive Decision Support

  • Prepare management materials, analyses, and recommendations for executive and leadership meetings
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive management, providing objective, data-driven perspectives
  • Support leadership in balancing short-term performance and long-term business sustainability

Perform other duties and special projects as requested by executive management to support the companys overall business objectives

Qualifications & Experience:

Required

  • Native-level Japanese and business-fluent English
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Strong accounting and financial knowledge with the ability to interpret and challenge financial results
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Budgeting and budget control
    • Cost accounting and margin analysis
    • Cross-functional business support
    • Japan–U.S. business communication

Preferred

  • CPA or equivalent professional certification (CPA, JCPA, CMA, etc.)
  • Experience in manufacturing, beverage, food, or consumer packaged goods (CPG)
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar)
  • Experience supporting senior management or executive teams in a U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese company

Compensation: $100K – 150K /year plus bonus based on the performance
