About the Company:
Our client is a niche engineering consultancy providing end-to-end grid connection solutions. They specialise in HV asset testing, commissioning, and project delivery for renewable energy projects, helping clients reduce grid connection complexities and risks.

Role Overview:
We are seeking Testing & Commissioning Engineers to work on greenfield and brownfield HV substations as well as utility-scale solar and renewable projects. The role reports to the Commissioning Manager and  involves commissioning, GPS compliance, AEMO approvals, and collaboration with project development and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform commissioning and testing of HV substations and renewable assets
  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and ITPs/ITRs
  • Conduct energisation and advanced protection testing (line distance, transformer differential, CB management)
  • Support SCADA, control system, and signal testing for substation and solar farm assets
  • Collaborate with clients, TNSPs, AEMO, and internal teams

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Advanced Diploma in Power Systems
  • Minimum 3 years experience on Australian projects with full working rights
  • Experience in utility substations and/or solar farm testing and commissioning
  • Strong understanding of power system fundamentals, protection, and control systems
  • Knowledge of network connection rules, AEMO guidelines, and relevant testing authorities
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
