3RD OFFICER



Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Practicing GCCL values

• Assisting in the oversight of shipboard maintenance

• Reporting to the Officer of the Watch (either 1st or 2nd Officer) for navigation and watchkeeping aspects and to the Staff Captain for all other issues

• Participates in mooring and anchoring operations as well as monitors tender operations

• Assists in the organization of safety training inductions of the newly joined crew and monitors attendance at safety drills

Requirements:

• Professional experience in the same position

• Eye for quality and excellence

• Proven leadership abilities and communication skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Fluent command of English

• Certificates needed: 

  Certificate of Competency OOW (A-II/1), Basic Safety Training, GMDSS, Passenger Ship Safety, Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, Advanced Fire Fighting, Advanced Medical Care, Security Awareness With Designated Security Duties, ECDIS Generic (preferable to have Transas)
