Main tasks:
- Own and develop the Global Material Master Data Governance Framework within Supply Chain
- Establish and lead a Center of Excellence and a Governance Council to guide MDM strategy and execution
- Drive alignment across ERP systems (SAP, JDE) and integrate material master data beyond ERP landscapes
- Define master data hierarchies to support global reporting across legacy systems (product and regional hierarchies)
- Lead the implementation and optimization of MDM tools, particularly SAP MDG
- Establish, monitor, and enhance data quality metrics and KPIs to embed continuous improvement practices
- Provide training, documentation (SOPs), and contribute to capability building initiatives (e.g., Supply Chain Academy)
- Define the digital roadmap for MDM, including workflow optimization and support structures
- Act as a key influencer within a matrixed, multicultural environment, engaging senior leaders, business peers, and IT stakeholders
Your qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) processes, including governance structures, data quality frameworks, and SOPs within global supply chain environments
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and ability to connect material master data governance with planning, logistics, procurement, and manufacturing operations
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, incl. SAP MDG; JDE), covering system integration, data workflows, and change management
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex data transformations, ERP harmonization, digital tool rollouts, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- Competence in defining and tracking data quality KPIs and embedding continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across matrixed and multicultural environments (including IT, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial)
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing industries is highly desirable
- Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent in Supply Chain / Data Governance are preferred
- Languages: Fluent English (German is an advantage)
