Compliance Control & Risk Management Team Leader (French) – Lisbon

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Control & Risk Management Team Leader to join an international insurance company based in Lisbon. This role involves leading a multicultural team of Compliance Controllers and managing daily internal control and risk activities within a global corporate environment.

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Work Model: Initial on-site onboarding and training, moving into a hybrid schedule.

Financial Package & Benefits

• Annual Salary: €33,780 – €35,400 gross (depending on experience)

Core Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of 5 Compliance Controllers, including performance management and daily operations
• Coordinating the annual compliance control plan and monitoring team KPIs to drive process improvements
• Supporting risk management frameworks, including RIR follow-up, RCSA coordination, and procedure management
• Conducting compliance controls directly when backup is required
• Organizing regular team alignment meetings and coordinating necessary travel related to compliance activities

Profile & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience within Insurance and Compliance Control
• Proven experience in leading, mentoring, or coordinating a team
• Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken)
• Strong background in compliance, internal controls, audit, or risk management
• Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills
• Availability for international travel when required
