Summary of Duties
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals in a medical office or clinic setting. The CMA will assist with patient care, perform routine clinical tasks, and ensure the smooth operation of the medical practice.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through an accredited program.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certified, in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information.
- Clinical Duties: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all necessary supplies are available. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle billing and insurance documentation. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with information on medications, treatments, and follow-up care. Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.
