  • Estimated Pay: $79.18/hour (Negotiable)
  • Type of Employment: 40 hours per week.

  • Paid Time Off per Year: 80 hours per year, occurring on day one.
  • Sick Leave per Year: 56 hours per year, occurring on day one.

Summary

The Radiology Director is a senior healthcare leader responsible for overseeing all operations of the radiology or diagnostic imaging department. This includes strategic planning, staff management, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality imaging services. The Radiology Director works closely with physicians, administrators, and clinical staff to align departmental goals with organizational objectives and ensure optimal patient care.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Masters preferred)
  • ARRT certification or equivalent credential required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in radiology, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of imaging modalities, regulatory compliance, and healthcare operations
  • Proven leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate all activities within the radiology department
  • Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs
  • Supervise and evaluate radiology staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including radiation safety standards
  • Oversee the maintenance and procurement of imaging equipment (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, etc.)
  • Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and optimize resource allocation
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality diagnostic services
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement, innovation, and integration of new imaging technologies
  • Address patient concerns and ensure a high standard of care and service delivery
