- Clearance Requirements: Tier 1 Background Investigation National Agency Check with Law and Credit Check and fingerprints. (Standard Form 85).
- Estimated Pay: $26.83/hour (Negotiable)
- Type of Employment: 40 hours per week.
- Employee Paid Group Benefits Offered: Health/Dental/Vision.
- Paid Time Off per Year: 80 hours per year, occurring on day one.
- Sick Leave per Year: 56 hours per year, occurring on day one.
- Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays

Summary
A Nuclear Pharmacy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed nuclear pharmacist to assist in the preparation, labeling, packaging, and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals. This role requires strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and regulatory standards, as well as attention to detail in handling radioactive materials.
Mandatory Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a nuclear pharmacy technician training program preferred
- State registration as a pharmacy technician
- Certification by the Nuclear Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a nuclear pharmacy setting
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and pharmacy operations

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and compounding of radiopharmaceuticals by mixing radioisotopes
- Label, package, and dispense radioactive medications according to safety guidelines
- Track inventory and maintain records of radioactive material usage and disposal
- Perform quality control tests on raw materials and final products
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for radioactive substances
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the nuclear pharmacy environment
- Assist with patient record updates, billing, and insurance documentation
