The role

The Germany country manager will be responsible for FieldBees commercial success in Germany, and will be a part of the senior commercial team, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Among other things, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading all sales and marketing activities towards the German market - across all channels.

  • Building a small team of sales, marketing and support professionals from scratch (you will be the first employee on the ground).
  • Extending FieldBees network of B2B relationships in Germany - especially with dealers.
  • Leading our PR efforts toward German farmers and dealers with the assistance or our PR agency: holding national and local demonstrations, deciding on offline advertising budget allocation, leading webinars and strengthening brand awareness and brand recognition across the region.
  • Directing our central marketing team as well as your own in tailoring marketing communications to our target audience in Germany.
  • Assisting the CCO in designing the optimal commercial strategy for Germany and DACH region, including financing options for farmers, dealer commercial terms and more.
  • As FieldBees first international commercial office outside of HQ, you will be pivotal in designing the first version of FieldBees expansion playbook.
  • Collecting market information about local competitors and identifying market opportunities
  • Laying down our Germany expansion plan and fine-tuning our sales acceleration strategy
  • Travelling to meet with farmers, farming organizations and groups, dealers etc will occupy 40-60% of your work week. You will also visit our Amsterdam HQ regularly.



Who would be a good fit:

  • A commercially-oriented person with a relentless drive for success.

  • A people's person with a large capacity for empathy, especially towards farmers.
  • Analytical, with good planning and organisational skills

  • Very developed communication skills

  • Background in farming, or in ag-machinery/ ag-tech sales.

  • Minimum of 3 years in commercial managerial positions.

  • Higher education in a related field.

  • Lives in the Hesse region (and can travel to all Germany).

  • Native German and good working English.
