Water Treatment Plant Operator

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities and accountabilities of the Sewage Treatment Plant Operators/Technicians for the plant are:  Maintains and monitors sewage treatment plant operations (SBR) to maintain compliance with the Philippine regulations  Operates plant equipment including the air compressors, blowers, pumps, motors, electrical controls and valves  Daily performs the following tasks: o Gathers and records operational data o Removal of solid wastes trapped by screens o Skimming out floating debris in pumping stations and tanks o Inspection of facilities to check for defects, etc. o Performs minor troubleshooting if needed

Duties and Responsibilities

•  Operate and maintain the sewage treatment plant and ensure 100% compliance to environmental regulations
•  Ensure that proper disinfection is performed particularly to the water that
•  Ensure that water supply is available and the cistern tank of the client is full
•  Ensure that the plant is always available, except during preventive maintenance period
•  Inspect the treatment plant systems on a daily basis to ensure effective operations
•  Prepare activity and work order report

Education, Trainings and Licenses Required

At least Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate in Engineering‐related area, At least 1 year of relevant experience on sewage supply projects
