Job Summary
Provides high-level administrative and secretarial support to FDC’s internal legal team, ensuring the efficient handling of legal matters, corporate filings, and documentation. Facilitates communication between the legal department, internal business units, and external stakeholders while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with corporate policies.Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative and Secretarial Support
- Manage
calendars, appointments, and deadlines for legal staff, including internal
meetings, court dates, and regulatory filings.
- Prepare,
format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, contracts, and
corporate records.
- Coordinate
travel, meetings, and logistics for legal team members.
Document and Records Management
- Assist
Docket in routing and tracking documents, versions, and filing deadlines
to ensure accurate and timely availability.
Liaison and Communication
- Serve
as the point of contact between the legal department and internal business
units, external counsel, courts, and regulatory agencies.
- Receive,
screen, and route communications, inquiries, and correspondence to
appropriate personnel.
- Assist
in drafting routine internal communications and letters for legal review.
Regulatory and Court Filings
- Prepare
and submit filings to courts, tribunals, and regulatory authorities under
the direction of legal counsel.
- Maintain
logs of submissions, acknowledgments, deadlines, and follow-ups.
- Ensure
timely compliance with external and internal.
Administrative Support for Legal Staff
- Assist
in efficient management of lawyers’ schedules and activities.
- Maintain
confidentiality of sensitive legal and corporate information.
Departmental Coordination
- Support
the smooth operation of the legal department by managing office supplies,
administrative processes, and workflow.
- Assist
in onboarding new legal staff and orienting them on department procedures.
The Legal Secretary may be assigned other functions and
responsibilities related to the above as the need arises.
Technical Competencies and Skills
