Job Summary

To provide technical assistance to ETS team in day-to-day activities. To perform various Front-End-Engineering assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories in the power industry practices related to mechanical engineering discipline. Prepare technical documents like but not limited to drawings, plans, reports, schedule, bid documents and other documents as required per project basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.       Direct support to the Lead Mechanical Engineer

2.       Prepare Bid Document (Non-Disclosure Agreement, ITB-Instruction to Bidders, Bid Data Sheet, Engineering Specifications, Drawings, Bill of Quantities, Basis of Design, Minimum Functional Specifications, Eligibility Documents, General Conditions of Contract, Special Conditions of the Contract, Bidders Qualification Information, and other Forms as required).

3.       Assist in evaluating technical qualifications of the bidders, such as but not limited to the single largest completed contract, ongoing contracts, technical expertise, and compliance.

4.       Conduct review and provide comments on the submitted documents involving mechanical equipment specification, drawings, test procedures, ITP, and equipment specifications.

5.       Coordinates within ETS multi-engineering discipline (civil, electrical, Instrument and Control), EPC contractor, Owner Engineers, Lender Engineers, on-site project team, and any other stakeholders involved.

6.       Conduct reviews and give comments on mechanical system and equipment specifications, design description and drawings.

7.       Actively participate in daily huddle meetings, weekly design meetings, and other meetings as needed. Provide an update and minutes of meeting as required.

8.       Monitor and update the existing trackers related to design and engineering.

9.       As needed, conduct site inspection and see to it that the mechanical system and equipment installation meet the design specifications.

10.    Raise RFI (Request for Information), SOR (Site Observation Report), and if necessary, NCR’s if the equipment supplied, works, or activities are non-compliant and or equipment installation conditions are unsatisfactory and do not meet the design requirements.

11.    Perform other duties as may be assigned by the management.

12.    Perform other duties as may be assigned by the management, including but not limited to monitoring and updating the existing trackers and administrative tasks.

Technical Competencies and Skills

• Proven experience in the field of mechanical engineering in the area of design and project execution with time management capabilities. • Prepare mechanical drafting materials & perform basic mechanical drafting works. With high level of expertise using various design software like but not limited to CAD and 3d modelling. With expertise in using computer operating software (Word, Power Point, Excell, Acrobat, etc.) • With experienced in any field of engineering/design, construction, commissioning and maintenance in power plant environment. • Familiar with Mechanical Engineering codes and standard like ASME standards, safety regulations and compliance as well as local regulations from DOLE, DENR, BFP, Plumbing Code, etc. • Knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, HVAC, piping and plumbing. • Understand manufacturing sequence, ability to identify, analyze and solve complex technical problems, organizing tasks

Education, Trainings and Licenses Required

Education: • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering • Must be a license Mechanical Engineer Experience: • 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering works or in construction or commissioning industrial facilities ideally in the power sector
