About the job Technical Business Partner
JOB SUMMARY:
The Tech Business Partner will serve as the strategic link between business units and IT, ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals, drive efficiency, and maximize value. He/She will collaborate with stakeholders, optimize IT systems, manage costs, and drive digital initiatives to enhance overall business performance. He/She should be a tech-savvy leader, problem-solver, and strategic partner with expertise in IT service management, process optimization, and cost-effective technology solutions.
KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. IT BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP & STRATEGY
- Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT, ensuring alignment of technology initiatives with business goals.
- Understand business challenges and recommend technology solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless IT-business collaboration.
- Assist in defining IT roadmaps and digital strategies to support business growth and innovation.
2. IT SYSTEM REVIEW, COST MANAGEMENT & OPTIMIZATION
- Conduct regular assessments of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to ensure they meet business needs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in IT investments, vendor contracts, and software licensing.
- Maximize the use of existing applications and enterprise systems to reduce redundancy and improve ROI.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to track and optimize IT budgets, expenses, and procurement.
3. IT SERVICE DELIVERY & SUPPORT
- Oversee IT service management and escalation handling for business units.
- Ensure the efficient delivery of IT support (hardware, software, and systems) to meet operational needs.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure system uptime, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor IT performance metrics and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure high-quality IT support.
4. DIGITAL SOLUTIONS & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
- Identify opportunities for automation, workflow enhancements, and digital transformation.
- Partner with business units to evaluate, implement, and optimize technology tools and software solutions.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies (AI, cloud computing, workflow automation, etc.) to enhance business operations.
- Ensure smooth integration and utilization of business applications and enterprise systems
5. CHANGE MANAGEMENT & TRAINING
- Champion IT adoption initiatives and conduct training sessions to help business units leverage technology effectively.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure seamless transitions when implementing new systems or upgrades.
- Gather feedback from end users to enhance IT processes and business-technology alignment.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Experience with IT financial management, ITIL frameworks, and IT service management (ITSM).
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, business applications, and enterprise systems.
EDUCATION, TRAININGS, LICENSES REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in IT business partnership, IT system reviews, cost management, or digital transformation.
- Strong analytical skills in cost control, IT asset optimization, and vendor management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business functions.
- Experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams.
