Job Summary
Property EngineerDuties and Responsibilities
1. Maintenance and Operations
- Oversee daily operation of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
- Ensure all equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
- Schedule and supervise preventive maintenance programs.
2. Repairs and Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns or system failures.
- Coordinate with contractors for major repairs.
3. Facility Management
- Monitor building performance and energy usage.
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
4. Supervision and Coordination
- Supervise maintenance staff, technicians, and contractors.
- Assign tasks and ensure work is completed properly.
- Coordinate with property managers and tenants.
5. Budgeting and Cost Control
- Prepare maintenance budgets and cost estimates.
- Control expenses related to repairs and operations.
- Source materials and services cost-effectively.
6. Safety and Compliance
- Ensure workplace safety standards are followed.
- Conduct regular safety inspections.
- Compliance on Annual , Monthly and Quarterly Government permits and license renewals
- Implement emergency procedures and risk management plans.
7. Project Management
- Manage renovation, upgrade, or construction projects.
- Oversee installation of new systems or equipment.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
8. Energy Efficiency and Sustainability
- Implement energy-saving initiatives.
- Recommend upgrades for efficiency (e.g., LED lighting, smart systems).
- Monitor environmental impact and utility consumption.
9. Tenant Support
- Respond to tenant complaints related to building systems.
- Ensure comfort (temperature, lighting, water supply).
- Maintain good tenant relations through prompt service.
Technical Competencies and Skills
Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and civil systems, Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, Good leadership and communication abilities, Knowledge of safety standards and government regulations, Good budgeting and project management skillsEducation, Trainings and Licenses Required
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
