Our Client is a pre-eminent Merchant Bank owned by reputable corporate and private investors. The Bank has its headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria with a focus on high-end financial products and services to select clientele in targeted sectors of the economy. Our operations cover Corporate Banking, Private Banking, Investment Banking, Asset & Wealth Management, Treasury & Global Markets, and Securities Trading.

Job Objectives
- Responsible for originating and managing the relationships with High-Net-worth Individuals, Corporates, and State Governments in various sectors across the Northern states of the Country.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Originate, maintain, and develop relationships with High-Net-Worth Individuals, Corporate markets, and State Governments in line with Banks' risk appetite.
- Responsible for identifying potential new clients and working with them to build up a relationship with the goal of managing their wealth.
- Adept at cross-selling various financial services products as offered by the Bank and its subsidiaries (GAML and GSL).
- Proactively advise and consult with the clients, explaining the types of financial services available, educating them about investment options and potential risks, and recommending investments.
- Manage a corporate loan book within parameters provided by Risk Management / Management Board.
- Oversee the Regional Office and ensure it is effectively managed at the lowest cost with maximum service delivery level to all clients.
- To expand the current client base and explore new products which are suitable for client needs.
- To promote and market the bank's services ensuring that the highest level of client service is provided at all times.
- Ensure conformance with all banking policies and practices along with regulatory statutes.
- Train and guide less experienced Business Development Officers.
- Upgrade on latest developments plus market trends to identify and service client needs.
- Develop loan packages for credit review as well as underwriting.
- Any other duties as required by the Executive Director, Corporate Banking.
Education Requirement
- University Degree Minimum of Second Class Lower or equivalent
- 10 years banking experience 5 of which must be in a senior role in Business Development and Relationship Management
- A track record of strong analytical and decision-making skills,
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office packages.
