As an Accounting Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Accounting team, overseeing client engagements, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting, financial reporting, and compliance services. You will establish and optimize workflows, manage day-to-day operations, and provide leadership and guidance to the team to achieve operational excellence. Working closely with senior leadership and clients, you will build trusted relationships, identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, and contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of the business. You will also play a key role in developing team capabilities, strengthening internal processes, and supporting the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand clients' business needs and provide practical accounting, tax, and financial solutions to support their operational and compliance requirements.
- Lead and oversee client engagements, ensuring high-quality service delivery, accuracy, and timely completion of all assigned projects.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to clients on accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Plan, organize, and manage multiple client projects by defining workflows, allocating resources, monitoring timelines, and ensuring project objectives are achieved.
- Review accounting records, financial statements, and work prepared by team members to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business objectives and delivering value-added services.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members by providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, enhance service quality, and implement best practices to increase operational efficiency.
- Support business growth by identifying new service opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and contributing to business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor, or manager in accounting, finance, or accounting outsourcing services, preferably an international accounting/consulting company; experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry or supporting restaurant businesses is a strong advantage.
- Well-rounded knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) — a must have.
- Proven experience working with U.S.-based clients and a strong understanding of U.S. business practices, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with U.S. federal and state tax regulations is an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and experience in financial reporting and accounting compliance.
- Experience in establishing or improving accounting systems, financial processes, tax compliance procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Must possess a valid Chief Accountant Certificate in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly preferred. Candidates actively pursuing these qualifications will also be considered.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese, with the ability to communicate effectively with international clients and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and client-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis tools or similar business intelligence and reporting tools; experience using cloud-based accounting platforms or similar ERP/accounting systems is a plus
