Our client is a fast-growing payment orchestration business helping merchants gain greater control over their payment infrastructure.
Having achieved profitability within their first year and continuing to expand internationally, they are now investing heavily in their commercial function and looking for ambitious sales professionals to help accelerate growth across key verticals.
The business works with merchants operating in complex and highly regulated industries where payment performance, routing, acceptance rates and operational efficiency have a direct impact on revenue.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Business Development Representative to help build pipeline across several high-growth sectors including Travel (Airlines and OTAs), Foreign Exchange, Crypto and iGaming.
This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere within Europe.
The role is focused on identifying and engaging prospective customers, building relationships and creating qualified opportunities for the wider commercial team.
The ideal candidate will already understand one of these industries and be comfortable speaking with senior stakeholders about the challenges they face. Previous payments experience would be advantageous but is not essential if you have strong experience within one of the target sectors.
This role offers a clear progression path into an Account Executive position for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting
- Build relationships with decision makers across target markets
- Identify merchants with complex payment requirements
- Qualify opportunities and schedule meetings for the sales team
- Conduct market research and account mapping exercises
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective customers
- Attend industry events, conferences and networking opportunities where required
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to execute go-to-market initiatives
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting
- Consistently achieve and exceed activity and pipeline generation targets
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Expertise
- Previous experience in a BDR, SDR, Business Development or Lead Generation role
- Experience within one or more of the following sectors:
- Travel (Airlines, OTAs, Travel Technology, Hospitality or Travel Payments)
- Foreign Exchange
- Crypto
- iGaming
- Payments
- Experience selling SaaS, fintech or technology solutions would be advantageous
- Comfortable speaking with commercial and operational stakeholders
- Experience working in international markets would be beneficial
