Senior DevOps Engineer

Location - Novi Sad, Serbia

Salary - €3,500 - €4,500 Net Per Month

Working Pattern - Hybrid - 4 Days Per Week in the Novi Sad Office

Company Overview

Our client is a fast-growing fintech business building payment infrastructure used by merchants, fintech and payment providers across multiple international markets.

Having achieved profitability within their first year of operation, they are now entering an exciting scale-up phase and investing heavily in both their platform and engineering function.

As transaction volumes increase and the product ecosystem expands, they are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help build the foundations required for the next stage of growth.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, observability tooling and platform reliability across a modern cloud-native environment.

You will work closely with Software Engineers, Product Teams and Leadership to ensure systems remain secure, scalable and highly available as the platform continues to grow.

This role is ideal for somebody who enjoys building platforms rather than simply maintaining infrastructure and who wants to play a key role in shaping engineering standards within a rapidly growing fintech.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Manage containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Improve platform reliability, scalability and performance
• Implement Infrastructure as Code best practices
• Build monitoring, alerting and observability solutions
• Manage security controls, secrets management and access policies
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Optimise cloud costs and infrastructure efficiency
• Work closely with engineering teams to improve deployment processes and developer experience
• Contribute to platform architecture decisions
• Support production incident management and root cause analysis

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience & Expertise

• Strong commercial experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering
• Deep experience with AWS
• Experience managing Kubernetes environments
• Strong Docker experience
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch or ELK
• Experience supporting distributed microservices architectures
• Understanding of event-driven systems and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements
