About the Role

Were looking for an AI & Automation Lead to drive intelligent automation across a large-scale managed services environment. You'll be at the forefront of AIOps, RPA, predictive analytics, and AI-driven monitoring ensuring services are efficient, resilient, compliant, and aligned with the Agency's digital strategy.

This role isn't just about tools and tech its about leading the charge in embedding automation into ITIL processes and the ecosystem, while championing responsible AI practices that support both functional and business outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Lead AI & automation initiatives in a complex, multi-vendor environment.

  • Shape and execute automation strategies that align with risk, compliance, and digital transformation goals.

  • Drive adoption of AI/ML in IT operations from anomaly detection to predictive capacity management.

  • Integrate automation into service management (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Capacity).

  • Oversee use of RPA tools and SOAR platforms to boost service desk and security operations.

  • Translate complex AI/automation concepts into clear insights for business stakeholders.

What Were Looking For

  • Leadership & Strategy: Proven experience leading AI/automation programs in large organisations.

  • AI/ML Expertise: Knowledge of AIOps, predictive modelling, anomaly detection, and applying ML to IT operations/security.

  • Automation Tech: Hands-on with RPA platforms (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) and SOAR tools.

  • Service Management Alignment: Strong ITIL knowledge and experience integrating automation into ITSM/DevOps workflows.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent stakeholder skills across multi-vendor SIAM environments.

  • Bonus: Experience in healthcare data contexts and ethical/responsible AI frameworks.

Australian Citizenship and Baseline Security Clearance are essential (or ability to obtain via AGSVA).
