Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial banking, business development, or relationship management preferred
  • Proven commercial lending origination track record in the lower middle market segment
  • Active presence and established network within the Tampa Bay market
  • Demonstrated success developing business through centers of influence, including CPAs, M&A attorneys, business brokers, and private equity sponsors
  • Experience structuring and presenting C&I credit opportunities in the $5MM–$25MM range
  • Strong understanding of operating company banking needs, with a focus on C&I rather than CRE-heavy or SBA-dominant production
  • Ability to partner effectively with underwriting, treasury management, and internal credit teams
  • Experience managing portfolio performance, annual reviews, and relationship expansion
  • Strong knowledge of regulated banking practices, including employment screening, credit background review, and compliance expectations
  • Title level may align from Vice President to Senior Vice President depending on experience and production history
Description:
  • Build and maintain an outbound prospecting pipeline targeting lower middle market operating companies in the Tampa Bay area
  • Develop and activate a strong COI network to generate new opportunities and referral flow
  • Originate new credit commitments, deposit relationships, and treasury management business
  • Structure and present credit opportunities tailored to client operating needs and transaction objectives
  • Partner with underwriting and internal stakeholders to move deals efficiently through approval and closing
  • Advocate for clients throughout the credit process while maintaining sound credit discipline
  • Onboard new relationships and introduce the full suite of commercial banking products and solutions
  • Maintain a disciplined calling cadence across both prospects and existing clients
  • Conduct annual relationship reviews, support renewals, and deepen wallet share over time
  • Represent the institution in the Tampa Bay business community through events, associations, and market engagement
  • Build a visible reputation as a trusted commercial banker serving operating companies in the $25MM–$75MM revenue segment
