FinTrust Connect has partnered with a leading specialty insurance provider that is seeking a senior-level Inland Marine Underwriter with deep expertise in Builders Risk and associated inland marine coverages. This is an exciting opportunity to support a high-growth commercial lines portfolio within a dynamic underwriting environment.

- Function: Lead underwriting efforts for Builders Risk and inland marine accounts, while mentoring peers and supporting agency relationships
Requirements:
- 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience, including Builders Risk and Inland Marine
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Professional designations (AMIM, CPCU, CIC, or ARM) strongly valued
- Familiarity with ISO forms, contractors' equipment, installation floaters, and transportation risks
- Experience with underwriting platforms like Salesforce, Perceptive Concept, or AS400
Description:
- Underwrite and evaluate new and renewal accounts across inland marine lines, including Builders Risk, property in transit, and warehousing
- Apply appropriate pricing and coverage terms based on risk characteristics, guidelines, and market conditions
- Collaborate with Product, Loss Control, and Underwriting Assistants to ensure underwriting accuracy
- Maintain strong agency relationships and lead regular meetings (virtual and in-person) to promote growth and submission quality
- Contribute to the development of underwriting training materials and best practices
- Support internal teams through mentorship and knowledge sharing
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes affecting inland marine insurance
