Function:
This role serves as a trusted advisor to residential builders and trade contractors, helping clients navigate complex commercial insurance exposures, optimize coverage strategies, and maintain compliance across evolving construction projects.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of commercial P&C account management or account executive experience
  • Strong understanding of General Liability, Builders Risk, Property, Auto, Umbrella, Inland Marine, and Workers' Compensation coverage
  • Experience with ACORD forms and AMS platforms
  • Proven client retention and book-of-business management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Construction, builder-risk, or homebuilding insurance experience preferred
  • Knowledge of structural warranty programs preferred
  • Industry designations such as CIC, CISR, or CRM preferred
  • Experience mentoring junior staff is a plus

Description:

  • Manage and retain a portfolio of builder and contractor insurance accounts
  • Conduct annual client strategy reviews and identify coverage gaps proactively
  • Review contracts, subcontractor agreements, and risk transfer documentation
  • Coordinate renewals, endorsements, and policy servicing activities
  • Partner with internal operations and support teams to ensure SLA compliance
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation within AMS systems
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to expand account revenue
  • Assist with training and mentorship of junior team members
  • Collaborate with leadership on process improvements and client service initiatives
