Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
- Minimum 8 years of commercial banking experience
- Experience managing commercial loan portfolios and business banking relationships
- Proven success in commercial loan and deposit generation
- Strong credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and cash flow assessment skills
- Experience structuring and underwriting complex commercial lending opportunities
- Knowledge of commercial banking products, treasury management services, and deposit solutions
- Familiarity with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and banking regulatory compliance
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms to manage sales pipelines and client relationships
- Leadership or team mentoring experience preferred
- Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of the local commercial market and business community
Description:
- Manage and grow a commercial loan portfolio exceeding $90MM while maintaining strong credit quality and profitability objectives
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and targeted business development activities
- Maintain and expand a large deposit portfolio with emphasis on acquiring and retaining low-cost deposits
- Conduct sales calls and relationship reviews with existing and prospective commercial clients
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and other financial information to evaluate creditworthiness
- Structure complex commercial lending and deposit solutions that balance client needs, risk management, and profitability goals
- Prepare comprehensive loan presentations and recommendations for Loan Committee approval
- Maintain ongoing portfolio quality through proper documentation, monitoring, compliance, and collection efforts when necessary
- Utilize consultative sales techniques to deepen client relationships and identify opportunities across the bank's product suite
- Collaborate with Treasury Management, Credit Administration, Retail Banking, Wealth Management, and other business units to deliver comprehensive client solutions
- Monitor market conditions and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities within the assigned territory
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and Bank Secrecy Act guidelines
- Represent the organization at community events, networking functions, and industry activities to strengthen market presence
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to members of the Commercial Relationship Management team
- Achieve annual production, portfolio growth, profitability, and client retention goals established by executive leadership
