Lead the Engineering Direction of a Growing Manufacturing Business:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Switchgear Business Unit. This role will oversee product design, development, costing, quality, and overall engineering performance.

You will play a key leadership role — guiding engineers, improving factory performance, and ensuring that our switchgear products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Your Leadership Impact:

• Lead and develop a team of engineers and technical staff, ensuring high performance and accountability
• Oversee the design, development, costing, and continuous improvement of switchgear products
• Drive value engineering, process improvements, and cost optimization initiatives
• Ensure full compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements
• Work closely with Production, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Fabrication to deliver competitive and cost-effective products
• Resolve complex technical issues during pre-production and post-production stages
• Improve factory efficiency and productivity together with the Fabrication Manager
• Anticipate risks, prevent delays, and proactively manage project timelines
• Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and align the team toward shared goals
• Mentor and develop future engineering leaders

What You Bring:

• At least 10 years of combined experience in Electrical Design, Automation (PLC), or Switchgear Manufacturing
• At least 5 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and switchgear systems
• Experience in CAD, VFD, and PLC
• Strong project management skills — able to deliver on time, within budget, and at high quality
• Deep understanding of electrical product standards and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive results
• Experience in budgeting and resource planning
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
