Reporting to: Business Development Manager

The Business Development Specialist drives business growth by identifying new opportunities, enhancing market reach, and optimizing growth strategies. This role is responsible for expanding FELCO’s client base by building strategic partnerships, and securing contracts in the lighting and electrical sectors.

Other responsibilities include:

• Actively sources and converts leads from new and existing lighting and electrical consultants, increasing bid participation and contract wins
• Collaborates with field sales and product development teams to ensure product qualifications meet bid specifications, delivering tailored solutions that enhance FELCO’s competitive positioning and achieve target success rates in contract acquisition.
• Penetrates and expands into new market segments, generating diversified revenue streams and contributing to overall business growth
• Develops and nurtures strategic relationships with key decision-makers, designers, and industry influencers to strengthen FELCO’s brand reputation and market influence
• Leads high-impact presentations and product demonstrations that boost client engagement, resulting in increased sales inquiries and stronger pipeline development
  

To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following qualifications:

• At least two years of work experience in business development
• Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably electrical engineering
• Background in the electrical and/or the construction industry an advantage
• Ability to convert leads into profitable contracts, focusing on optimizing bid participation and closing deals
