The Purchasing Associate supports operational efficiency by ensuring the timely and accurate acquisition of goods and services within the assigned category. The role contributes to business continuity through proactive vendor management, compliance with company standards, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement Coordination

  • Processes purchase requests and special project requirements, from canvassing and bidding to purchase order creation, goods receipt, and liquidation of advances.
  • Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all procurement activities.

Vendor Management

  • Conducts supplier sourcing, accreditation, and evaluation to ensure quality, reliability, and alignment with FELCO standards.
  • Performs site inspections when necessary to validate supplier capabilities.

Financial Transactions

  • Manages petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation, accuracy, and adherence to financial protocols.

Collaboration and Customer Service

  • Coordinates effectively with internal teams and external vendors to deliver requirements on time.
  • Provides proactive customer service to support both routine and special project needs.
