Purchasing Associate

About the Role

Location: Ermita, Manila

Role Type: Full-time 

Department: Finance - Purchasing

Reporting to: Purchasing Manager

Work Schedule: 5-day work week (onsite)

The Purchasing Associate is responsible for ensuring the quality acquisition and timely delivery of requirements within the assigned category and providing proactive customer service to internal and external customers.

Other requirements include the following:

• Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders for the processing of purchase requests and special project requirements from bidding and canvas, purchase order creation and goods receiving and liquidation of advances.
• Conducts sourcing, accreditation, and evaluation of vendors, which may include site inspections to ensure quality and reliability.
• Manages petty cash transactions, where applicable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial protocols.

To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree of any four-year business-related course
• At least 1 year of related experience, preferably handling office supplies category
• Oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders
• Time Management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and optimize productivity.
