Accounting Associate (Accounts Payable)

Location: Ermita, Manila (near SM City Manila)

Role Type: Full-time (on-site)

Department: Finance - Accounting Team

Reporting to: Assistant Accounting Manager

Work Schedule: 5-day work week

As Accounting Associate under Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for receiving and timely processing of payment requests while ensuring compliance with accounting policies. You will record and update financial records, and ensure and validate proper documentation of each transaction.

Other requirements includes the following:

• Receiving, validating and processing payments requests to ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.
• Recording accurately and making necessary adjustments for any discrepancies and errors.
• Providing updates to requesters on the status of their payment requests and sending notifications and documentation to recipients.
• Supporting the Tax group by providing proper documentation of valid receipts and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Organizing and maintaining financial documents and records, and assisting with administrative tasks related to finance and accounting as needed.

To succeed in this role you will be required to meet the following:

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or any accounting related courses.
• At least 6 months of work experience in Accounts Payable.
• Familiar in SAP or any similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
• Proficiency in Excel and/or google sheet for sorting and organizing data.
• Flexibility and agility to take on additional tasks as required.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to respond effectively to inquiries and deliver information to stakeholders.
• Analytical skills and attention to details in processing data to identify any inconsistencies.
