About the job Fabrication Manager
The Fabrication Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of sheet metal fabrication for electrical enclosures and switchgear. The role exists to ensure that production — spanning punching, bending, stamping, welding, surface treatments, powder coating, and assembly — is executed with precision, efficiency, and quality to meet customer commitments.
Within the organization, the Fabrication Manager is the critical link between engineering requirements and manufacturing output. The role directs a multi-disciplinary team to align production capacity with business demand.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Production Operations Management: Manage and direct the day-to-day fabrication operations across all processes to achieve on-time, on-quality, and on-cost delivery of electrical enclosures and switchgear products.
People Leadership and Team Development: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing fabrication team through effective capacity planning, performance management, coaching, and the cultivation of a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
Continuous Improvement and Process Excellence
Lead and drive structured continuous improvement initiatives that enhance fabrication efficiency, reduce lead times, eliminate waste, and improve customer satisfaction.
Resource and Inventory Optimization: Ensure the optimal planning and utilization of labor, materials, and equipment to minimize waste and control production costs, in close coordination with the PPIC Coordinator and Inventory Controller.
Quality, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure all fabrication activities are executed in full compliance with applicable quality standards, safety regulations, and engineering specifications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields;
PRC license is a plus- At least five years in fabrication/manufacturing, with three years in a leadership role
- Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication (punching, bending, welding, and assembly) or in plastic fabrication
- Strong background in production planning, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement
Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of quality systems and safety standards
