Job Description:

As a Paralegal at First Care Medical, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team in various aspects of the organization's legal matters. Your main responsibilities will include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing administrative support to our legal team. You will work closely with attorneys and other legal professionals to ensure the smooth functioning of legal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research on various topics related to healthcare laws and regulations

- Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence

- Assist in the preparation of legal briefs, motions, and other court documents

- Organize and maintain legal documents and files

- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters

- Provide administrative support to attorneys, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing meetings

- Assist in the preparation of presentations and training materials for legal workshops and seminars

- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance and risk management

- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting

- Knowledge of legal principles and procedures

- Familiarity with legal research methods and databases

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software programs

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, from 9am-5pm. The Paralegal will primarily work in an office setting, but may occasionally be required to travel for meetings or court appearances.
