Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team at First Care Medical. In this role, you will provide support to our legal department by conducting research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with case management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Assist with case management, including organizing and maintaining case files
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government agencies
- Coordinate with outside counsel and experts as needed
- Assist with document review and discovery
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive legal information
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the legal team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and procedures
- Proficient in conducting legal research and using legal databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Experience in healthcare or contract management is a plus
