About the Role

We're hiring an Events Marketing Manager to build and scale the events function from the ground up for a rapidly growing health tech startup.

This is a highly entrepreneurial, high-ownership role where you'll define event strategy, lead execution, and build repeatable systems across executive dinners, healthcare summits, recruiting events, conference activations, and customer engagement programs.

You'll work directly with leadership to increase visibility among healthcare executives and health system decision-makers while helping shape how the company builds relationships and brand presence across the healthcare ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in startup environments, enjoys owning events end-to-end, and can combine strategic thinking with exceptional operational execution.

What You'll Do

Events Strategy & Program Development

  • Build the events function from scratch and define the long-term events strategy
  • Identify which event formats drive the strongest engagement and business outcomes
  • Develop scalable playbooks for:

    • Executive dinners
    • Roundtables
    • Summits
    • Conference activations
    • Recruiting events
    • Educational programming
  • Run experiments across multiple event formats and iterate based on performance data

Executive & Healthcare Engagement

  • Build event experiences tailored to healthcare executives and health system leaders
  • Develop programming that resonates with C-suite healthcare audiences
  • Partner with leadership on customer-facing and thought leadership initiatives
  • Help elevate the company's visibility across the healthcare ecosystem

Event Planning & Execution

  • Plan and execute end-to-end event logistics including:

    • Venues
    • Vendors
    • Catering
    • AV
    • Travel coordination
    • Budgets
    • Post-event retrospectives
  • Lead execution of executive-level summits and hosted events
  • Help transform the San Francisco office into a repeatable event space for customer and recruiting gatherings

Operational Scaling

  • Build repeatable systems, templates, and operational processes
  • Track event KPIs and measure outcomes tied to engagement and business impact
  • Continuously improve event workflows and execution standards as the company scales

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in B2B events marketing
  • Proven ownership of events from strategy through execution
  • Experience planning and executing intimate executive-level events such as:

    • Executive dinners
    • Roundtables
    • Leadership summits
    • Small-format conferences
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting directly with senior healthcare leaders and C-suite stakeholders
  • Strong operational and project management capabilities
  • Experience operating in fast-moving environments with high autonomy

Work Environment

  • Location: San Francisco, California
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite
  • Frequent travel across the United States required

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $160,000 – $195,000 USD
  • Equity included
